Welcome Back! I hope everyone had a fun and relaxing Spring Break!

10th Grade: No homework tonight. Tomorrow we will be in the computer lab, finishing our persuasive letter. If you have not finished your rough draft, that needs to be completely finished by tomorrow. We will only have time to put finishing touches and write a works cited page!

11th Grade: Write a paragraph about whether or not you feel that Frederick Douglas succeeded in writing a persuasive slave narrative, based on his purpose and objectivity. Use the handout we worked on in class. You will be graded based on specific evidence that use to support your opinion.

12th Grade: Read lines 19-80. Take notes as you read and make a list of the knight's characteristics.

**ALL CLASSES- Your novel assignment will be due on Monday. I will give Thursday after our vocab. quiz to work on it in class!

11th Grade: Your 2nd set of 15 notecards are due on Tuesday, February 16! Make sure that you have all of your sources: 2 books, 1 or 2 internet sites, and a magazine or journal article. Other sources might be a personal interview or a televised documentary. I can show you how to cite those sources later.

*Chapter 7 of The Great Gatsby with chapter questions will be due on Wednesday, February 17. You will be quizzed on that chapter as well!

10th Grade: Study for vocabulary quiz tomorrow by completing worksheet given in class! Please also finish questions 1-8 on "Dr. Heidegger's Experiment" by tomorrow, if you have not turned them in already. Only Cody, Bobby, Kathryn, Colten, Tray, and Page have turned them in, so everyone else- GET ON IT!

11th Grade: Your next set of notecards (15) will be due on Tuesday, February 16. Also, you will need to read Chapters 7 and 8 by Wednesday of next week and complete the questions.

12th Grade: Please write choose two of the poems discussed in class today and write a journal for them. This will be due tomorrow.

Speech: I am giving you until Tuesday to finish preparing for your speeches. Tomorrow we will watch examples of demonstration speeches and score them according to the rubrics handed out in class.

10th Grade: No homework- we ran out of time to read in class today. We will work on the story, "A Rose for Emily" tomorrow.

11th Grade: Choose your essential question for the research project. We will meet in the computer lab tomorrow for the first 30 minutes of class so that you can research your topic.

12th Grade: Read and annotate, "Crossing the Bar" on page 851 in your textbook. Write a journal for this poem as well. I am going to model for you how to teach your lesson tomorrow using this poem.

Speech: We will begin working on our "How To" speeches tomorrow.
